"these I will bring to my holy moutain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS"

At Concord Church we Believe in the Power of Prayer

We take Paul as an example who clearly understood the power of prayer. Paul constantly & faithfully appealed to believers to pray for him.

Romans 15:30-31

“I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints”

Ephesians 6:18-19

“praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel”

Colossians 4:3-5

Paul asks for prayer for Kingdom growth – “pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak”

Paul solicited prayer for his ministry because he understood what propelled the kingdom of God forward and brought God’s glory. At Concord, we believe that truth still applies today. When believers join together in a mighty force of intercession, doors of ministry will open and God’s glory will be poured out.
