Sermon 11: Faithfulness

Galatians 5:22-23  

I. What Does It Mean to Be Faithful? 

In Galatians 1:23, the Bible speaks of “faith” as the Christian message.

In Galatians 2:16, the Bible uses “faith” in terms of trusting God to make us right with Him.

The word “faithfulness” as a fruit of the Spirit speaks of someone On Whom You Can Depend.

Proverbs 20:6

God doesn’t want Christians to just look good; He wants us to be good.

II. What Does Faithfulness Look Like?

Revelation 2:8-10

We’re to be faithful to death, that’s another way of saying, we’re to be totally committed to God.

III. Why Is Faithfulness So Challenging? 

James 1:2-4

Faithfulness means doing right when we’re tempted to do wrong. It also means hanging on when we feel like giving up.
